It is possible to reach it through the motorway A29 (about 20 km from the city). Besides being served by an underground line (every hour) and by a coach line (every half hour), it is possible making use of the taxi service or the hiring of a car by one of the various companies situated in the terminal (Avis, Europecar, Hertz, Maggiore, Holiday, Sicily by car)

With ferry boats of the Tirrenia, Snav, Grandi navi veloci and Ustica lines from naples, Civitavecchia, Leghorn and Genoa.

After crossing the strait of Messina with the ferry boat, you can reach Palermo through the A20 Messina-Palermo or going along to the A18 (via Catania).
